I am passionate about teaching and learning. I believe that an encouraging and positive teacher can help make a student a lifelong learner.
Helping students overcome learning obstacles to become confident and independent learners is my goal. When working with students, I incorporate creative activities and practical learning. I want students to be engaged in what they are learning.
I have been working in the field of education for eight years. I spent three years as a public elementary school teacher. I also have four years of experience tutoring students in a one-on-one and small group setting. I began working at Engage the Brain as a learning specialist in 2014. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in history with a minor in creative writing from Stetson University, which I received in 2008. In 2011, I received my Master of Arts in Teaching in Elementary Education from Rollins College.
